The distinguished conductor and pianist Marios Papadopoulos is the founder and music director of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly Oxford Philomusica), the orchestra-in-residence at Oxford University. Papadopoulos has also enjoyed an international career appearing as soloist and conductor of many of the world’s great orchestras, working with a host of eminent musicians. In 2014, Papadopoulos was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for services to music in Oxford.
