American tenor David Ossenfort earned his B.A. at S.U.N.Y. Purchase in 1993, and in the summer of 1994 he attended the Phyllis Curtin Seminar at the Tanglewood Music Center. During the summers of 1996 and 1997 he participated in the Tanglewood Fellowship Program, and since then he has appeared in lyric tenor roles at the New York City Opera and with numerous regional companies as well as with the Opera Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall and at the Caramoor Festival. At Carnegie Hall he has sung in performances of Mozart's Coronation Mass and Schubert's Mass in G Major. Ossenfort has been a member of Schola Hebraeica since 1992 and is also a featured cantorial soloist on the recordings Splendor of the High Holydays and The Music of Shabbat.
